Engine And Variants Of New Honda City Revealed

Honda Cars India is launching its 5th Generation City in India on 16 March 2020. The new Honda City will be longer and wider than the old model. The new Honda City can be launched at a price of Rs 11-16 lakh (ex-showroom).

The company has not revealed the car’s features and engine information.

The current model of Honda City is available in four variants SV, V, VX, and ZX while the new Honda City will be available in three variants V, VX, and ZX.

The new 1.5-liter old engine has been installed in the new Honda city but due to the upgrade to BS6, the power of the engine has increased by 2 bhp. The new engine produces 121 Bhp of power.

The new Honda City will have the option of a 6-speed manual and automatic gearbox. However, no information has been revealed about the diesel engine, but it is expected that the diesel variant can be offered with a 1.5-liter engine with a choice of 6-speed manual and automatic gearboxes.

The new Honda City has been given many new features and upgrades. The car gets safety features like ABS and EBD along with 6 airbags.

Apart from this, touch screen infotainment system, LED headlamps and taillights, digital instrument cluster, ventilated seats supporting sunroof, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto will be given.

Connected car features like Venue, Celtos, and Hector can also be given in the new Honda City. In India, this car will compete with the Hyundai Verna facelift, Maruti Ciaz, Volkswagen Vento, Skoda Rapid, and Toyota Yaris.
