Honda Cars registers domestic despatches of 7,269 units of BS-6 vehicles in February 2020
Honda Cars have announced that it despatched 7,269 BS-6 units in February’20 in the domestic market that included petrol variants of Amaze, City, Civic, and CR-V. With despatches of BS-6 Diesel Amaze scheduled to begin from this month, the company is in the process of sequentially introducing BS-6 variants in the rest of its model line-up in the future.
The number of export units stood at 64 units last month.
Commenting on the sales, Mr. Rajesh Goel, Senior Vice President, and Director – Marketing and Sales, Honda Cars India Ltd. said, “Our despatches were limited and in line with our plan of total supply available for the month. We are determined to enhance the supplies with subsequent introduction of BS-6 versions of other models and bring down the waiting period for our customers. Since we have been supplying only BS-6 cars from Jan onwards and dealers were aggressively liquidating their BS-4 stock, our channel is left with negligible stock of BS-4 cars as of Feb end.”
The company’s dealership network cleared the residual BS-4 stock last month. HCIL has been producing only BS-6 models in both its plants since Jan’20.
The company had sold 13,527 units in the domestic market in February 2019.
