Hyundai to launch Elantra diesel version soon [Variant Revealed]
The Hyundai Elantra facelift is to be launched soon in India with a diesel engine. The Hyundai Elantra was introduced in the facelift avatar last year, but it was only available with petrol engine options.
Now the company is preparing to bring Hyundai Elantra with a diesel engine. This diesel engine of Elantra is to be taken from the Kia Seltos and from the new Hyundai Creta. It is a 1.5 liter diesel engine.
Hyundai Elantra offers torque of the 1.5-liter diesel engine 115 power and 250 Newton meters of BHP. There will be a 6 speed manual and 6-speed torque converter in this car.
Like petrol, Hyundai Elantra Diesel will also have the option of three variants S, SX and SX (O). There will be a choice of a manual gearbox in S variant and an automatic gearbox in SX (O).
Only SX variants will have the option of the manual and automatic gearbox. In terms of features, it will also be kept the same as petrol, though due to the BS6 standard, it may be slightly higher in price.
Hyundai Elantra Petrol has currently priced at Rs 15.89 lakh (ex-showroom), the starting price of its diesel variant can be around Rs 16 lakh.
