DSW
from
Howard
University,
in
Washington,
DC,
in
1992.
Before
she
joined
the
faculty
at
Howard
University
School
of
Social
Work
in
1993,
she
worked
as
a
social
work
practitioner
in
the
area
of
adolescent
mental
health.
